Des applications pratiques telles que la mesure (surface, longueur, alignement), les t\u00e9l\u00e9communications, l&rsquo;impression, le soudage, le per\u00e7age et la gravure pour les m\u00e9taux sont d\u00e9couvertes tr\u00e8s rapidement.<br \/>\nLe d\u00e9veloppement industriel de la technique du soudage laser dans la m\u00e9tallurgie et la m\u00e9canique, a d\u00e9marr\u00e9 au milieu des ann\u00e9es 80 et conna\u00eet aujourd&rsquo;hui un essor important dans des milieux comme l&rsquo;automobile, l&rsquo;a\u00e9ronautique, mais aussi dans des m\u00e9tiers plus traditionnels et moins m\u00e9canis\u00e9s comme la <strong>bijouterie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Principe de fonctionnement<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Le rayon laser est une source de lumi\u00e8re monochromatique de haute \u00e9nergie qui, si elle est absorb\u00e9e par de la mati\u00e8re, \u00e9chauffe celle-ci en lui transmettant cette \u00e9nergie lumineuse sous la forme d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie calorifique intense. En fonction du niveau de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie transmise, le mat\u00e9riau s&rsquo;\u00e9chauffera plus ou moins, ce qui conduira \u00e0 laisser quelques traces (gravure) ou \u00e0 fondre le mat\u00e9riau (soudage et d\u00e9coupe).<\/p>\n<p>Pour g\u00e9n\u00e9rer un rayon laser il faut exciter un solide (rubis, verre dop\u00e9 au n\u00e9odyme, etc&#8230;) ou un gaz (h\u00e9lium-n\u00e9on, CO2 etc&#8230;) avec de la lumi\u00e8re polychromatique. Les couches \u00e9lectroniques des atomes de la mati\u00e8re ou du gaz vont recevoir cette \u00e9nergie lumineuse et s&rsquo;exciter, ils vont passer \u00e0 des niveaux d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie sup\u00e9rieurs mais vite retomber \u00e0 leur niveau d&rsquo;origine cette fois ci en \u00e9mettant un photon (constituant de la lumi\u00e8re) repr\u00e9sentatif de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie lumineuse capt\u00e9e au d\u00e9part par l&rsquo;\u00e9lectron.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/12.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1769 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/12-300x277.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"300\" height=\"277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/12-300x277.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/12.jpg 330w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ce photon et ses multiples confr\u00e8res seront capt\u00e9s, condens\u00e9s par des syst\u00e8mes optiques complexes et achemin\u00e9s par l&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire d&rsquo;une fibre optique vers une t\u00eate laser qui permettra de diriger le faisceau obtenu et de r\u00e9gler son diam\u00e8tre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/2.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1766 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/2-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/2-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/2-290x195.jpg 290w, https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/2.jpg 686w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Le soudage laser en bijouterie<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Il s&rsquo;applique a de multiples op\u00e9rations :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333399;\">R\u00e9paration de produits bris\u00e9s<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Soudage d&rsquo;un maillon de cha\u00eene, d&rsquo;un joint pr\u00e9alablement bras\u00e9, d&rsquo;un anneau ressort sur une cha\u00eene, d&rsquo;une b\u00e9li\u00e8re ouverte&#8230;<br \/>\nL&rsquo;avantage du laser dans ce cas est la rapidit\u00e9 d&rsquo;ex\u00e9cution du soudage, le fait qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y ait pas n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&rsquo;apport et l&rsquo;accessibilit\u00e9 du rayon dans des zones cach\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333399;\">R\u00e9paration des fontes contenant des porosit\u00e9s<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le trou est pr\u00e9alablement combl\u00e9 par fusion des bords, puis une mise \u00e0 niveau est effectu\u00e9e en utilisant un fil d&rsquo;apport d&rsquo;un alliage de m\u00eame nature que l&rsquo;alliage du bijou. L&rsquo;avantage du laser dans ce cas est essentiellement li\u00e9 au fait de la non-n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de d\u00e9monter les pierres ou perles du bijou, et la non-agression des brasures en cascades pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes sur le bijou.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333399;\">\u00a0Re-fa\u00e7onnage des produits<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Des \u00e9l\u00e9ments du bijou peuvent \u00eatre refabriqu\u00e9s, par exemple la griffe d&rsquo;un chaton \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;un fil.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Fabrication des produits<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le laser peut faire partie int\u00e9grante du processus de fabrication, par exemple dans la fabrication de cha\u00eene ou la t\u00eate laser est plac\u00e9e en aval du formage et asservi \u00e0 la cadence.<br \/>\nMoins m\u00e9canis\u00e9, le laser peut souder des maillons de bracelets ou de colliers qui, plac\u00e9s sur des supports sont man\u0153uvr\u00e9s manuellement sous le faisceau.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Le soudage laser et les m\u00e9taux pr\u00e9cieux :<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Les param\u00e8tres influant sur la soudure laser sont :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>le diam\u00e8tre du rayon = D<\/li>\n<li>la puissance de lampe = P<\/li>\n<li>la dur\u00e9e d&rsquo;exposition au rayon = T<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9nergie envoy\u00e9e sur la pi\u00e8ce est le produit de la puissance de lampe par le temps d&rsquo;exposition. Elle est exprim\u00e9e en Joules.<\/p>\n<p>La soudure obtenue (diam\u00e8tre et profondeur) sera fonction du diam\u00e8tre s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 : pour une puissance et un temps donn\u00e9s, l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie correspondante sera r\u00e9partie sur le diam\u00e8tre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 donc plus ou moins concentr\u00e9e en fonction de celui-ci, donc de l&rsquo;\u00e9chauffement plus ou moins profond.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;autre part les m\u00e9taux ont la facult\u00e9 d&rsquo;absorber la lumi\u00e8re plus ou moins bien. De m\u00eame les \u00e9tats de surface brillants refl\u00e8tent plus la lumi\u00e8re que les mats.<\/p>\n<p>Il s&rsquo;en suivra un \u00e9chauffement plus ou moins important donc une soudure plus ou moins large et profonde.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience nous am\u00e8ne \u00e0 \u00e9tablir un classement de la facult\u00e9 d&rsquo;absorption de la lumi\u00e8re par les alliages pr\u00e9cieux. Et, si l&rsquo;on se place dans le cas d&rsquo;une soudure de diam\u00e8tre 0.5 mm, l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper sur la pi\u00e8ce pour souder un joint de 0.5 mm d&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur est d&rsquo;environ en fonction des alliages de :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/31.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1767\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/31-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/31-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cookson-clal.com\/le-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/31.jpg 335w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Ce tableau nous montre que les alliages pr\u00e9cieux ont des comportements au soudage assez diff\u00e9rents, et que la puissance \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper par le laser n&rsquo;est jamais sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 4 KW pour des soudures standards rencontr\u00e9es dans la bijouterie.<\/p>\n<p>Une astuce facilitant le soudage consiste \u00e0 noircir les pi\u00e8ces \u00e0 l&rsquo;endroit de la soudure pour faciliter l&rsquo;absorption du rayon.
